C5000 Cryogenic Valve Series
Compact tube-end vacuum jacketed valves for cryogenic liquid service
Key Features
- OD tube end connections — ¼" and ½" tube ends for direct connection to tube-based VJ piping systems; eliminates the need for pipe-to-tube adapters
- Compact body design — smaller overall envelope than the C2000, suited for tight installations and space-constrained valve assemblies
- In-line serviceable stem assemblies — stem, seat, and packing replace without removing the valve body from the pipeline
- Actuator adapter kit available — separate adapter kit enables pneumatic NC/NO, solenoid, and actuated-with-positioner operation
- Flow plugs available — equal percentage or linear trim available as a factory option for flow control applications
- Globe and right angle body styles — both configurations available in ½" tube; globe available in ¼" tube
- Oxygen service available — CGA G-4.1 cleaning; specify with order
Compatible Fluids
All cryogenic liquids. Series selection is based on connection type (tube vs pipe) and size, not fluid compatibility.

⚙ C5000 Actuator Adapter Kit
The C5000 Actuator Adapter Kit enables pneumatic NC/NO, solenoid, and actuated-with-positioner operation of C5000 series valves. The kit attaches to the standard C5000 manual valve body without modification.
Part number: Available as a separate item — contact Cryocomp for kit ordering information.

Format: C5[size][body]–[operation][purge][jacket] Copy the result directly into your quote request or purchase order. Typical lead time for an order is 2–4 weeks. Since some features take longer than others to engineer, lead times can vary.
Flow coefficients (Cv)
Values are for fully open valves, ½″ tube size.
| Tube size | Body style | Cv | End connections |
|---|---|---|---|
| ½" | Globe | 1.1 | Butt weld tube |
| ½" | Right angle | 2.3 | Butt weld tube |

Applications
- Vacuum jacketed tube piping systems
- Cold box valve assemblies
- Liquid nitrogen and argon tube systems
- Liquid helium tube-connected equipment
- Compact cryogenic panel assemblies
- Research and laboratory systems
- Semiconductor manufacturing
C5000 vs C2000: The C5000 uses OD tube ends (¼″ and ½″) while the C2000 uses IPS pipe ends (½″ to 2″). If your system uses pipe connections or requires sizes above ½″, see the C2000 Series. Both series support solenoid, positioner, and flow plug options.
