C3000 Cryogenic Valve Series
Extended-stem vacuum jacketed valves for all cryogenic liquid service
The Cryocomp C3000 Series features a longer stem and neck than the C2000, creating an extended heat path between the cryogenic fluid and the ambient-temperature operator. Available in ½" and 1" IPS pipe sizes with globe and right angle body styles. Suitable for all cryogenic liquids; the extended stem design is often preferred for liquid helium service due to helium’s very low heat of vaporization.
Key Features
- Extended stem and neck design — significantly longer heat path between cryogenic fluid and operator than standard C2000; often preferred for liquid helium service where minimizing heat input is critical
- In-line serviceable stem assemblies — stem, seat, and packing replace without removing the valve body from the pipeline, minimizing system downtime
- Globe and right angle body styles — available in both configurations, sharing the same internal stem assembly for simplified spare parts stocking
- Two vacuum jacket options — full jacket for open VJ piping runs; cold box cuff for panel- or wall-mounted installations in cold box assemblies
- Manual and actuated on the same body — manual handwheel standard; pneumatic NC/NO and actuated with positioner for modulating control applications; solenoid available on request
- Oxygen service available — CGA G-4.1 cleaning; specify with order
Compatible Fluids
All cryogenic liquids. Series selection is based on connection type (tube vs pipe) and size, not fluid compatibility.

Operation types
M Manual
Handwheel; standard offering
A / B Pneumatic NC / NO
Spring-return actuator; normally closed or normally open
E / F Actuated with positioner
Modulating control; adds a valve positioner for proportional flow
E Solenoid + actuator
Electrical on/off control; available on request
Vacuum Jacket Options
1 Full jacket
Maximum thermal efficiency; standard for open VJ piping runs
3 Cold box cuff
For panel- or wall-mounted installation in cold boxes. Common for most C3000 applications
2 No jacket
Uninsulated; available on request for ambient-temperature or process service

Available models: C3000 valves are available in ½″ and 1″ pipe sizes, in globe and right angle body styles, with full jacket, cold box cuff, or no jacket configurations. Manual, pneumatic NC/NO, actuated with positioner, and solenoid operation options are available. C3000 vs C2000: The C3000 offers the same body materials, pressure rating, and fluid compatibility as the C2000, but with a longer stem and neck for an extended heat path. If you need ½″ or 1″ pipe and a longer heat path — particularly for liquid helium — the C3000 is the preferred choice. For 1½″ or 2″ pipe, Y-pattern body, or a wider range of sizes, see the C2000 Series.
